Oamos – Meta-Inspiration Engine

Meta-Inspiration Engine

At Oamos, we have a single mission: To play and discover content you’ll love.

What is Oamos?
Oamos searches search engines for the latest news, images, synonyms, music and videos. The data is audiovisually processed and presented as desired, from factual to entertaining, with or without sound, with or without links.

What is Oamos for?
Oamos is suitable for inspiration and for reading about topics in different contexts. It does not take an editorial stance, but is a reflection of the Internet, which is constantly renewing and evolving. The content is compiled and combined from the web each time it is accessed. This means that a given topic is never presented in the same way, and Oamos evolves and renews itself automatically, always staying up to date.

How does Oamos work?
You can either enter one or more keywords and click on Oamos or specify your search in more detail under ‘Advanced settings’. The software searches the Internet for relevant data and creates live audiovisual presentations on the keywords you have entered. In a second step, you can change the current presentation according to your wishes. For example, you can use the slider to adjust your topic from objective to entertaining. The software searches for content via web services on the Internet. There are currently sixteen web services, such as ccMixer, Flickr, Freesound, Google, Pozinger, Sonicsquirrel, Technorati, Wikipedia, Wortschatz Uni Leipzig, Yahoo.
Oamos works with all major web browsers and is also used for exhibitions, events and club VJing.
